Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten

Early Childhood Programs at Saint Bridget School

At Saint Bridget School, we are proud to offer two dedicated Early Childhood programs: Preschool for 3-year-olds and Pre-Kindergarten for 4-year-olds. Our experienced and nurturing teachers foster a warm and supportive environment where children are encouraged to learn through a combination of guided instruction and imaginative play.

Each classroom is thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate toys and resources, ensuring that every child feels safe and engaged as they embark on their educational journey.

Program Highlights

At Saint Bridget School, our Early Childhood programs are thoughtfully designed to foster a love of learning and support the holistic development of our youngest students. Here are some key highlights that set our programs apart:

  • Personalized Attention: Our dedicated teachers provide individualized support and care, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met. This tailored approach helps build strong relationships and boosts confidence in our young learners.

  • Enriching Curriculum: Our curriculum balances play and guided instruction, allowing children to explore their interests while acquiring essential skills. Through hands-on activities and engaging lessons, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Daily Specials: As part of our commitment to providing a well-rounded education, our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students participate in daily specials. These classes allow children to explore various subjects outside their regular classroom, fostering creativity and independence as they engage in:

    • Art: Children express themselves through diverse artistic mediums, enhancing their fine motor skills and creativity.

    • Music: Vocal lessons introduce students to the joy of music, rhythm, and singing, nurturing their appreciation for the arts.

    • Physical Education: Active play and structured activities promote physical fitness and teamwork, laying the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

    • Library Time: Regular visits to the library spark curiosity and a love for reading, enriching their vocabulary and comprehension skills.

    • These specials not only enhance their academic experience but also nurture their social skills and confidence as they interact with peers and teachers in different settings throughout the school.

  • Safe and Nurturing Environment: Our classrooms are designed to be safe and welcoming, allowing children to explore freely while fostering a sense of belonging. The use of age-appropriate toys and equipment ensures that learning is both fun and developmentally appropriate.

  • Community Building: We believe in the importance of creating a strong community among students, families, and staff. Our programs encourage collaboration, respect, and empathy, helping children build meaningful relationships with their peers and teachers.

  • Flexible Scheduling: We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate the diverse needs of families. Additionally, our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students can participate in both before and after-school care, providing peace of mind for working parents.

  • Outdoor Play: Access to a private outdoor playground offers students the opportunity to develop their gross motor skills while enjoying nature and fresh air. Outdoor play is an essential part of our programs, as it promotes physical health and encourages imaginative play.
